Autumn in Southwest Colorado . . . It's Stunning!
We'll photograph sunrises and sunsets in some of the most breathtaking scenery you have ever experienced. Locations include Owl Creek Pass, The Dallas Divide, Ralph Lauren's property, Telluride and so much more. During the day we will investigate many old barn buildings and several old mines including Yankee Girl Mine.
I'll also offer image critiques along the way so you can judge just how much you are learning!

Itinerary . . .
Friday September 22
6p - I 'll start off with dinner and a short program
in my suite. I'll share with you just how I go about photographing wildflowers from lens selection composition to correct exposure and depth-of-field. I'll show yo how to set up a focus-stacking situation for perfect depth-of-field and we'll discuss "pre-visualization", a very successful technique that Ansel Adams and many of that caliber photographer uses to create stunning fine art images. Dinner is included.
Saturday September 23
5a - Sunrise! Crystal Lake offers and amazing sunrise location with stunning reflections of Red Mountain. Then we'll head south on the Million Dollar Highway to Silverton and photograph along the way. After dinner I will offer an image critique.
Sunday September 24
5a - Another sunrise if you please. Dallas Divide here we come! Then off to Telluride and Last Dollar Road. Breath-taking views and scenery! Back for a late afternoon image critique and dinner in town. Sunset session this evening, too!
Monday September 25
5a - One more sunrise. This time along Colorado Hwy 5 and Mt Sneffels. You'll love it! Breakfast at my favorite place in Ridgway, Kate's Place. We'll take a mid-day break and then do a sunset shoot at Owl Creek Pass! Exceptional!
Tuesday September 26
5a - One more sunrise session and then you can go home!
Wednesday September 27 - 9a-3p | (OPTIONAL DAY - ADDITIONAL $75 - includes lunch)
Post Processing Your Images in Photoshop
8a - Meet in the lobby for breakfast. We'll then head to the classroom and I'll share with you how I enhance images to create my style of fine art photographs. You can then work on your images and I'll offer help if you like! Lunch is included with this day of classroom!
3p- Done. Go home! Be safe!

What you will need to bring . . .
IN THE FIELD - Camera, tripod, filters, lenses, release cord and whatever other gear makes you happy. Cold weather clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are advised. Layering is the "word" in Colorado. Having layers of clothing is great as you can take off and put them back on as drastic temperature changes are custom in the Fall in Colorado. Having rain gear available is not a bad idea either. More detailed info about gear after you register.
